The Bills and Eagles are among the five best NFL bets in Week 7.
We are fully into the bye-week portion of the NFL schedule which gives gamblers fewer options to bet each week. Four more teams are off in Week 7 but that doesn't mean that there is a shortage of action to bet this week.
The spreads run the gamut this week from very narrow (such as the Steelers laying 1.5 points in Tennessee in a matchup of unbeaten teams) to quite large (the Bills are laying 11.5 against the hapless Jets). FanSided is here to cut through the noise and use this space to lay out five great bets to make this week. Odds listed are courtesy of the FanDuel Sportsbook.
5. NFL Week 7 best bets: Carolina Panthers +7.5
The Panthers have been one of the most fun stories of the early going, racing to a 3-2 start before falling at home to the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Considering the fact that the Panthers were the only NFL team to break in a new coach, coordinators and starting quarterback this offseason the fact they are right in the thick of the NFC South race is highly impressive.
Carolina hits the road this week where they are 7.5 point underdogs against the New Orleans Saints, who got the week off and could be getting Michael Thomas back for this game. The return of Thomas should help the Saints' offense but their defense has been highly suspect all season long, which has let teams creep back into games far too often.
The fact that the Panthers are getting the half-point hook is huge since they can lose by a touchdown and still give you the backdoor cover. Take the points with Carolina here as they should be able to keep things interesting in New Orleans.

4. NFL Week 7 best bets: Kansas City Chiefs -9.5
The Chiefs bounced back nicely from their first loss of the season with an outstanding performance in Buffalo on Monday, winning 26-17. Andy Reid devised a brilliant run-first game plan to combat some very rainy weather in Buffalo, controlling the clock and showing a new dimension to Kansas City's offense.
That group should get even stronger this week when they add Le'Veon Bell to the fold after he clears COVID protocols. Bell was a flop on a bad Jets' team but the move to the NFL's best offense should spark some new life for the star running back to let Reid add even more wrinkles to his schemes.
The Chiefs return home as 9.5 point favorites against the Denver Broncos, who picked up a nice win against a scuffling New England team on the road. The issue for Denver is that they simply couldn't get the ball into the end zone, winning on the strength of six Brandon McManus field goals.
Settling for three won't get the job done against the Chiefs, who should easily move the ball down the field against the Broncos' suspect defense. Lay the points with the defending champs in a game they should win by double digits.

3. NFL Week 7 best bets: San Francisco 49ers +2.5
The sky is no longer falling in San Francisco after the 49ers put together a tremendous bounce-back effort on Sunday night. The 49ers took care of business against their division rivals, beating the Los Angeles Rams 24-16 to get back to .500.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan wisely focused on the running game, calling in 37 runs plays that netted 122 yards, to control the clock and take some pressure off of Jimmy Garoppolo as he works his way back into form following a high-ankle sprain. Garoppolo was much more efficient this week, completing 23 of 33 passes for 268 yards with three touchdowns in the win.
San Francisco flies east this week for a matchup with the New England Patriots, who are currently 2.5 point favorites in the matchup. The line opened with the Patriots laying 5.5 points but quickly shifted in San Francisco's favor after an awful New England performance in a loss to the Broncos at home combined with the 49ers' strong showing against the Rams.
This is a game that the 49ers have a great chance to win outright since New England doesn't have a ton of offensive firepower to begin with. The 49ers are getting three here, which is more than enough to take against the Patriots, and are a smart play since they could easily win and cover for you that way.

2. NFL Week 7 best bets: Philadelphia Eagles -4
We're headed back to the NFC East for another intradivision showdown starring the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. This game opened with the Eagles as 6.5 point favorites but has since moved to a -4 line due to the fact that Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz will be out for Philadelphia on Thursday.
The move actually is a benefit to betting the Eagles since they are extremely likely to win this matchup and now have fewer points to cover. Philadelphia has struggled in the early going but showed some real poise in Week 6 when they rallied from a 30-14 fourth-quarter deficit to have a chance to tie the game in the final seconds before the two-point try failed.
Oklahoma Sooners
This matchup against the Giants offers a clear bounce-back opportunity since New York has been one of the NFL's worst teams and barely escaped with a one-point home win against the Washington Football Team on Sunday. Daniel Jones has been particularly brutal, tossing just three touchdowns in six games while committing 10 turnovers in the process.

The Eagles have won seven straight games against the Giants dating back to 2016 and New York has shown little reason to indicate it is capable of hanging with this team, let alone winning the game. Lay the four points with the Eagles as they will surely find a way to take care of business against the Giants.

1. NFL Week 7 best bets: Buffalo Bills -12.5
The best bet of the week is without a doubt the Buffalo Bills for the simple fact that they are taking on the NFL's worst team, the New York Jets. Even though the Bills have now lost two straight games they have been given a tremendous opportunity to get right against the Jets, who they already beat by 10 in Week 1.
Best Bets Today
The Jets are coming off a 24-0 loss in Miami in Week 6 and have the extra day to get ready but Adam Gase won't do much with it. Despite having one of the league's least dynamic rosters Gase has refused to budge from his vanilla game plans which lack creativity and don't play to his player's strengths.
The result has been an 0-6 record against the spread for the Jets, who have been blown out in five of their six games and haven't lost by less than nine points all season long. The lines have been pretty large against the Jets of late but they have shown no signs of even being competitive against teams that are better than they are.
12.5 points is a bit difficult to stomach but have faith in the fact that 31 of Gase's 40 losses as an NFL head coach have come by double digits, including three by at least 20 points this season. Lay the points with the Bills as they will pummel the Jets one loss closer to winning the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes.
